Ella Lindsay Morgan, 93, passed away Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at Fairwinds Assisted Living Facility in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Ella was born on March 8, 1923, to Charles Ira and Nellie Nebeker Lindsay. She graduated from Rigby High School in 1941, and worked for the Mountain Bell telephone company until 1978.
She married Don Morgan on January 8, 1946, and they were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on October 19, 1948.
Their marriage was blessed with five children: Karen Raye, Sharon Faye, Jacqueline, Rebecca, and Zane Scott. The family lived in Lincoln where Ella held many positions in the LDS church. She taught in Primary, Young Women's, and in Relief Society. She was also a Relief Society President. In addition, she served as president of the PTA, President of the VFW Auxiliary, President of the Does, and President of the Telephone Pioneers. However, the most important thing in her life was always her family.
Ella's many talents included crocheting, cooking, dancing, and giving to others. She was well known for her many acts of charity and kindnesses.
In 1986, she and Don purchased a winter home in Apache Junction, Arizona, where they started a second life and made many new friends. During the next 22 years, they played golf, socialized, attended dances, and other activities.
Ella is survived by her spouse, Don Morgan; two sisters, Norma Jean Trost and Myrtle Ludlow; her daughters, Sharon Morgan of Idaho Falls, and Jacqueline Pierce of Apache Junction, Ariz., and her son, Zane Scott Morgan, and wife, Michelle of Weiser, Idaho; as well as 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
