Kirk Hansen Obituary
He was born April 21, 1968, to Sherron and Margene Hampton Hansen in Idaho Falls, ID. He attended schools in Shelley. He was the youngest son growing up on the family farm, homesteaded by his great-grandfather. The family acknowledges the influence of Julie Arlen, Kolae Kinghorn, Geri Wadsworth, and Wendy Sill in Kirk's life. In his most recent years, he found happiness and love with Heather Harper Hansen. Kirk is the proud father to Kylee, Ceira, and Jett Hansen.
The outdoors called to Kirk, and he enjoyed hunting, target shooting, dirt biking, fishing, kayaking, and snowmobiling.
One of the most important times of his life was spent using his natural talents working for CCI Crane. His charming personality was known throughout his school years and every avenue of his life! Kirk had a tender heart and cared deeply in spite of his mischievous and teasing ways.
He is survived by his wife, Heather; daughter, Kylee Hansen, her children, Indi Hoggan and Shade Hoggan; daughter, Ciera Hansen, her children, Emma Kay Christensen and Hazley Ray Christensen; and son, Jett Hansen. Stepchildren: Braydon Harper, Kaitlyn Harper, and Braxton Patterson. His sister, Joni (Kevin) Oakey; and nephews: Jay Oakey and Clark Oakey.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Dean.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 7, 2024, at Taylor Cemetery, 720 E. 129th S., Idaho Falls, Idaho. A visitation will be held from 6:00-7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
