Michael Coon Obituary
Michael "Mick" was born May 19, 1983, in Libby, Montana to Paul Coon and Teresa Huffman. He attended elementary school in Libby, MT. and Sandpoint, ID. Mick graduated High school with the 2001 graduating class of Sandpoint, Idaho. He was a talented wrestler and loved participating in all things athletic. Upon graduation, he attended Ricks College where he met Jane Elizabeth Blaisdell (Salt Lake City, Utah).
Mick and Jane married on February 7, 2004 and were later sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Mick was a talented musician, and songwriter. He sang and played in many cities and in several bands before heading to L.A. to perform. After his divorce to Jane, he married Annie Nichole Ruen (Sandpoint, Idaho) on August 27, 2009. Their daughter, Fate Marie Coon, was born November 1, 2010.
Mick will always be remembered as incredibly talented, intellectually engaging, passionately caring, fun-loving, freewheeling, and for the love he gave.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Fate of Sandpoint, Idaho; Father, Paul Coon (Laura) of Libby, MT; Mother, Teresa Angell (Bryce) of Island Park, ID; Siblings: Chad Coon (Brooke) of Ammon, ID; Adam Coon (Courtney) of Ogden, UT.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2056 U.S. HWY 2 W South, Libby, Montana. Any friends or acquaintances of Michael and his family are welcome to attend.

To say we go way back would be an understatement. From our toilet papering shenanigans and you playing Bryan Adams for me on the piano to watching you play at the fair in Washington. You are going to be so missed! Until we meet again my friend!

I knew him as Mickey as a youngster in Libby. Hope the family can find some peace. I still remember Mickey's mom Teri. Quite a comedian! My thoughts and prayers go out to you.

I also wanted to share a funny memory with Mick. Years ago, when he was working at the Coldwater Creek wine bar in downtown Sandpoint, I was a regular customer at lunch time and he was a friendly face that made my day! One day he showed me a flyer announcing that Mick Coon was singing there on the weekend. I said, "I know him!" And he grinned and laughed, thinking I was teasing him, I am sure. He asked, "Really?", and I said, "Well, I actually know his mom." He looked surprised and said, "You know my mom?!" I was embarrassed and asked, "Wait, is this YOU!?" We laughed hard and I felt silly.
