Mikey came to see me in February and stayed a few weeks. We had a great time, but I particularly remember that I took him to the arcade and he would pass gas and then blame it on me loudly before we left that particular game. So bad! Always my little prankster. One of these days I'll still teach you spanish, baby brother. ;) You're still my best buddy. Te quiero muchisimo, hermanito.

I remember track meets when Mike and all the throwers would have barbeques during the meet! On road meets he would eat whole bags of gummy bears and then try and run the mile! I am going to miss you man.

I haven't talked to Mike since high school, but I always remember him being such a nice guy. He was nice to everyone and he had the greatest laugh. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Oh gosh, my favorite memory of Mike can't be put into just one time. He was such a loving friend, and was always there to hug you when you had a bad day. It was hard not to be his friend the moment you met him with that big huge smile and his hugs. He will be greatly missed by us all. We love you Mike.

I used to hang out with Mike my junior year, he was so awesome. He made weights, track, and health a lot more fun because he always talked to me and we goofed around. I remember one time we were at Wingers Mike,Shannon,Nick, and I. He decided to eat a spoonful of hotsauce because he could "take it". He ran into the bathroom and tried to wash it out and came back pretty red and said it wouldn't go away. We all had a good laugh about it including him.

I finally figured out my favorite memory of Mike. It was probably over a year ago and some of us went to Skyline lanes to play pool. While we were there, I wanted to play the video game where you shoot thing and Mike decided to play with me. We put in about $5 worth of quarters so we could have a long turn. In the heat of the moment, Mike stepped back and unplugged the video game. We all gave him grief about it and said he owed us $5. It was so funny. I'm really going to miss Mike.

One night in 2004 we went to a john mayer concert, or as he liked to call it "sissy music" After the concert, and his reluctant admittance to its greatness, we sat on the hood of my car till 3 o clock in the morning, just talking and laughing. That was one of mikes best qualities, we will all miss the relaxed atmosphere he took everywhere with him.. i have never felt more at ease and comfortable with myself then when i was with him. good bye bud

I think the first time I met Mike I was at this huge dance on a football field and he came out of nowhere and demanded a hug from me and then ran off.
Someday I'll find the video of Mike asleep on my couch and then gagging from the soy sauced Q-tip to post on my Facebook.
We love you Mike!! You are definetly one of the coolest people I've ever met.

I didn't know Mike like a lot of you all did, but I did know him. I will always remember him as a guy who knew how to make you smile. He always had a hug to offer; he always seemed to know when you needed it most. Even for a girl like me. I'm just grateful that I knew him. I'm also grateful that Heavenly Father found him so worthy that he was able to return home and serve a mission to those who need him more than us. My condolences go out to his family and friends. It's hard losing someone you love; I can definetly say, though, that you will see him again some day. Much love to Mike Murdock; the big Teddy Bear.

This last Saturday Mike and Curtis came into the ISU Craftshop to have Emily help them make hemp bracelets. Mike just wasn't getting it. I told him a silly story that I use to teach kindergardeners that involves a rabbit running around a tree and jumping into a hole. He was so excited. "I totally get it now," he said. He was so proud of his bracelet. We were blessed to have shared that day with him. He was very dear to my daughter and of course that made him dear to me as well.

Hey Mike, remember that time we were camping? We were cooking marshmellows and yours caught on fire! You flung it around screaming your head off and finally got the fire put out. You then proceeded to take a bite of it. You gagged in disgust and spit out the burned marshmellow procaliming, "Man that tasted like crap!" When you spit out the marshmellow you spit it out right onto your shirt. For the rest of the trip you had marshmellow all over you! Great times. I'm going to miss you man!
