Patsy Ann Adamson Randolph, 84, of Rigby, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 14, 1930, to Eddie and Reba Williams Adamson in Springfield, Mo. She was second to the youngest child.
After graduating from high school, Patsy moved to Pocatello where her sister Katie and brother-in-law Bill lived. Patsy lived at the YWCA and with her sister while employed by Mountain Bell as a telephone operator. It was during her tenure with Mountain Bell that she met William Weaver Randolph.
Patsy married William Weaver Randolph on Sept. 19, 1953, and they made their home in Pocatello. In 1955, a son Steven David was born. In 1956, they moved to Idaho Falls, where Patsy worked for Shirlynn's Dress Shop. Their daughter Cynthia Faye was born in 1957. They remained in Idaho Falls until 1988 when they moved to a new home built by William Weaver in Rigby. William Weaver passed away Nov. 15, 2006, and Patsy remained in Rigby taking care of their beautiful yard and home.
After her husband's passing, Patsy would spend winter months with her daughter and son-in-law in Kennewick, Wash. Patsy enjoyed her time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as her daughter's many friends.
Patsy continued to support and attend luncheons with the Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed getting together with her friends at exercise class weekly and talking to her many friends and relatives on the phone. She enjoyed visits with her good friends that lived near by and looked forward to making popcorn for two very special neighbor girls to whom she was like a grandma. She always made sure she had dog treats for Sadie, who would stroll over daily. One of her most enjoyable pastimes was watching the deer and the occasional moose that wandered into her yard.
Patsy was a fabulous cook and a very talented seamstress. She liked to read and had a very successful green thumb.
Patsy is survived by her son, Steve (Sherry) of Idaho Falls; daughter, Cynthia F. (Dennis) Rains of Kennewick; grandchildren, Emily (Ryan) Sullivan, Abigail (Jordan) Hays and Matthew Rains; great-grandsons, Canaan Hays, Brayden Sullivan, Grady Sullivan and a great-great-granddaughter, Kamille Hays, all of Kennewick; a sister-in-law, Jennie Adamson of San Marco, Calif.; and cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Weaver Randolph; siblings, Kathryn Schiffman, FamaJean Johnson and James Adamson.
Graveside services will be conducted at noon Friday, Jan. 16, at Rigby Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St., in Idaho Falls.

Even though I only visited with her a few times I remember Patsy's easy going and cheerful nature. She 'sold' me her slide projector at a garage sale and after looking at the few slides that were with it showed a love of travel to beautiful places. Her journeys must have been fun to share.

My heartfelt sympathies are with all the Family and friends of Mrs. Randolph, as you reflect on warm memories of her Life. The loss of a loved one, is never easy to bear. However, this does not escape God's concern. He cares for everyone following his guidance, and is always ready to provide help in their times of need. In fact, his Word shares that His eyes, and ears are fully open to the concerns they present to him. May this thought bring you lasting comfort now, and as you endure the days ahead.
