James Dale “Jim” Hall, 74, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 5, 2026, at his home.

Jim was born October 26, 1951, in Rigby, Idaho, to Robert Dale Hall and Patricia Ann Tyler Hall. He grew up and attended Howe Elementary, Butte Jr High, and graduated from Ririe High School. He also attended Boise State University.

On January 29, 1969, he married Judy Ferguson in the Ririe-Shelton Church. Jim and Judy made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Together, they had four children, Michelle, Cheri, Andy, and Sarah. Jim and Judy lived in many places throughout their marriage: Pennsylvania, Texas, New York, Driggs, and Boise, Idaho. They were later divorced.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed learning new things, helping his friends and family, and had an entrepreneurial spirit.

Jim is survived by his son, Andy Hall of ND; daughter, Sarah (Adam) Ingals of Boise, ID; mother, Patricia Ann Hall; brother, Kelly (Michelle) Hall of Middleton, ID; brother, Patrick (Joyce) Hall of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Julie (Don) TeBeau of Spokane, WA; brother, Bryon (Annie) Hall of Blackfoot, ID; and sister, Patti Summers of Idaho Falls, ID.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Dale Hall; daughters, Michelle Judy Hall and Cheri Lyn Hall.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2026, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services. Immediately following services, the family invites friends to visit at Chuck-A-Rama, 999 S 25th E in Ammon.
