Catherine "Cathy" Workman
Sept. 22, 1959 - Feb. 3, 2024
Catherine " Cathy" Workman, 64, passed away February 3, 2024, at her home following a recent illness. She was born on September 22, 1959, in Whittier, CA, to parents Arlys and Lee Shields.
After graduating from Mark Keppel High School in Alhambra, CA, Cathy became an accountant in her earlier years. Later in her life, she married Steve Workman Sr. in El Monte, CA, and enjoyed being a homemaker. Cathy and her husband, along with their son moved to New York to be closer to her eldest daughter. She also brought her horse, Freckles, with them. Shortly after, she got another horse named Ben as a companion to Freckles. Cathy loved horses and taking care of them until illness made her change her lifestyle. She attended Northway Church. She enjoyed playing Facebook games, doing crafts and spending time with her family. Cathy especially loved going to see anything that involved her grandchildren when she was able.
She was predeceased by her parents and grandparents. Survivors include her husband, Steve; daughter, Dawn (Scott); daughter, Melissa (Amanda); son, Steven Jr. (Brittney); grandkids: Leah, Karlee, Nevaeh, Lauryn, Raelee, Silas and Carson; uncle; aunts; and many cousins.
Services will be announced by the family at a different time. Memorial donations may be sent to 14 Kimberly Lane, Fort Edward, NY 12828.
