Daniel Volpe Obituary

Daniel "Dan" Volpe

August 29, 1968 - May 26, 2025

FORT EDWARD - Daniel "Dan" Volpe, 56, of Fort Edward, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2025.

Born on August 29, 1968, in Glens Falls, Dan was the son of the late Joseph Volpe Sr. and Arlene (Murray) Volpe Connell. He attended Fort Edward High School and went on to become a dedicated roofer and proud member of his local union.

Above all else, Dan was a devoted father to his two beloved daughters, Fleshia Volpe (33) and Camie Volpe (21). They were the absolute light of his life. Dan beamed with pride when talking about them-never missing a moment to share a story, celebrate their achievements, or simply say how much he loved them. His bond with his girls was one of his greatest joys, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Dan was a man full of life, his sense of humor, magnetic personality, and unforgettable laugh made him impossible not to love. Known for his quick wit and love of a good dad joke, he brought energy and laughter wherever he went. One of his favorite phrases, "I'm Dan from the hills, never ran, never will," captured his spirited, never-back-down attitude. Whether he was joking around with family or striking up a conversation with a stranger, Dan had a rare gift for making people feel welcome and seen.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and often found peace riding his bicycle or spending time in nature. His loyal grand pups, Buddy and Kodak, were constant companions who brought him endless joy and comfort.

Dan's memory will be cherished by his daughters; his siblings, Patricia Flynn (Brian), Michael Volpe, and Joseph Volpe; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Matthew (Michele) Volpe.

Dan Volpe will be remembered not only for his strength and humor but for the deep love he gave so freely to those around him, especially to his girls, who will carry his light forward always.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.

A Memorial Service will be conducted following the calling hours at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
