HADLEY/HUDSON FALLS – Danielle Lee Guy, 52, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, after a brief illness.

Danielle was born on October 21, 1973, to Bonnie Edgerly and the late Raymond Guy at Glens Falls Hospital.

She was predeceased by many beloved family members and friends who held a special place in her heart.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving mother, Bonnie (Al) Edgerly; her brother, Christopher Guy; her sister, Jamie (Michael) Moynihan; many nieces and nephews; a very special cousin, Darcy Hilder-Meyette; and Danielle's dear boyfriend, David Martin.

Danielle's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Lori, Dan, and Brendan Lucia for being a second family to Danielle and for the love and happiness they brought to her life for so many years.

She lived a full life of fun, laughter, and singing along to any and every song she loved-usually those by Michael Jackson, the Backstreet Boys, or New Kids on the Block. When she wasn't singing, Danielle loved to watch movies. As a result, everyone who knew her can now recite every line from the 1985 movie, The Goonies.

Danielle welcomed everyone into her world with genuine warmth. Her huge heart and unconditional love made it impossible not to fall in love with her personality immediately. There was a simple sincerity in her warm hugs that brought joy to anyone who encountered her. Danielle had the ability to brighten any room with her presence.

Although Danielle was born with Down's Syndrome, it did not define who she was; rather, it highlighted the beautiful qualities that made her so special. She taught lessons in empathy not through words, but through her spirit and the way she lived her life. Danielle taught the world more about love, patience, and happiness than anyone could ever teach her.

Thank you to the staff at Hadley IRA House for caring for Danielle and making her last days peaceful and serene.

A celebration of Danielle's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 64 Elm Street, in Hudson Falls.
