Gerry a spirited and devoted matriarch of Stony Creek Road, Hadley, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday morning, September 11, 2025, at the age of 89.
Born in Brooklyn on March 11, 1936, Gerry was the daughter of the late Michael and Edna (Warner) Ryan. She married Justin Hoffman, Sr. in Brooklyn in 1954. They moved to Hadley a year later and she wasn't sure she would adjust to the country life. She remained for 71 years loving the place she made her home.
Gerry built a career in banking, working at TD Bank (formerly First National Bank) in Queensbury and Corinth, and later at Glens Falls National Bank in Lake Luzerne. She cherished the daily interactions with her customers and was known for her warmth, wit, and unwavering professionalism.
A passionate sports fan, she rooted or hollered, for the New York Yankees and the New York Jets. Her friendly wagers with her brother, nephew and grandson added a playful spark to every season. But above all, she treasured time with her family-whether celebrating birthdays, holidays, or simply gathering "just because." Her love was what held generations together.
She was predeceased by her husband, Justin Hoffman, Sr.; her parents; and siblings Grace Geraty, Mickey Ryan, Kenny Ryan, and Bob Ryan.
Survivors include her children: Justin (Lori) Hoffman, Jr. of Lake Luzerne, Anthony Hoffman of Hadley, Linda (Andy) Dobroski of Lake George, and Laura (Duane) Rosseter of Lake Luzerne; her beloved grandchildren: Andrew, Zachary, Erica, Ryan, Ashley, and Jennelle; and great-grandchildren: Tyler, Madelynn, and Katelynn. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

In accordance with Geraldine's wishes no services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be hosted later by the family that loved her and were the most important part of her life.
