QUEENSBURY - James G. Fisher, 71, a resident of Queensbury, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Glens Falls Hospital.
He was born on July 26, 1952 in Glens Falls to Barbara (Doty) Fisher of Glens Falls and the late Charles Fisher, Jr.
James was a graduate of Glens Falls High School in 1972. He then worked for the City of Glens Falls as a laborer. Part of his duties were snow removal, maintaining fire hydrants and clearing the water drains.
His hobbies included wood and metal working, hunting, fishing, sporting events and playing the drums with his family especially at holiday events.
Besides his father he is predeceased by his sister, Barbara Fisher Tucker.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Fisher of Glens Falls; his sister, Linda Parisi of Glens Falls; his brother, Charles Fisher, III of South Glens Falls; his sons, James Fisher, Jr and Christopher Fisher; his grandsons: James Fisher and Johnathan Fisher; his sister, Donna Dorvee; his nieces: Jennifer Crane and Briget McCary; his nephews, John Mattison, Kenneth Dickinson and Michael Dickinson; his great nieces: Brianna Rolleston and Shauna Winch; his great nephew, Zackary Barrett; his brother in law, Bob Tucker as well as many additional nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Pine View Cemetery, Queensbury.
There are no calling hours scheduled.
The family would like to thank his special friend, Edward LaRoe III and his two first cousins, Thomas Mitchell and Connie Centerbar for being there in a time of need.

I´m sorry to hear that pop died. It´s sad he will never be able to see his grandsons again or vice versa. I still tell Anthony, Hunter, and Jesse about him. Sending love
