Born on December 12, 1965, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Clifford Cook of Fort Edward and the late Marlene (Jones) Cook. Some of her favorite things to do as a family were playing tourist in Lake George, going to festivals such as LARAC, movie nights and family vacations. She loved traveling to York Beach, Maine and going to Salem, Massachusetts during Halloween. She loved her late night talks with her oldest grandson Damien. Her grandsons were the apple of her eye.
A quiet redhead with a quick wit, Jay welcomed family to her home for holiday dinners as well as seasonal gatherings. Her home was always decorated for every holiday, from Valentine's to Christmas. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, for which she went all out, including a 6' tall mechanical skeleton tending bar and many one of a kind items that she created. She loved crafting, going on cruises with her husband, brother-in-law and sister-in-law and friends. She surely loved curling up on the couch with her dogs and a good scary movie.
