Born on May 12, 1941 in Amsterdam, she was the daughter of the late William and Sally (Romsiewicz) Jankowski.
Jeannette was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch, graduating with the Class of 1959.
For many years, she worked as a Dental Assistant and at Pine Tree Press. However, her proudest accomplishment was raising her three children.
Jeannette's love for her family was immeasurable, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed crafting with the Home Bureau, and her membership with the Red Hat Society. While still saving extra time to treat the neighborhood children with her homemade cookies. Jeannette also enjoyed antiquing and traveling to see new places and eateries.
In addition to her parents, her sister, Mary Ann Wytrwal and her husband, John both predeceased her.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Adam M. Gessinger; her daughters: Annette (Bobby) Tucker, of South Glens Falls and Mary Beth (Rob) Klute, of South Windsor, CT; her son, William Gessinger, of Bear, DE. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Travis Tucker, Marisa (Will) Cook, Jen (John) Howard and Ali Klute; and her great-grandchildren: Blake Clippinger, Brantley Clippinger, Teagan Howard, Delaney Howard, William Cook III; and her two nieces.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 11, 2024 at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 80 Saratoga Ave., South Glens Falls.
Spring burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, South Glens Falls.
