Joseph D'Attilio Obituary

TICONDEROGA * Joseph Rolland D'Attilio, 24, of Ticonderoga left us suddenly early Sunday morning after a long illness. All who knew Joe, were extremely touched by his warm spirit and loving heart. He never complained and always worried how everyone else was doing before himself.

He was born Aug. 29, 1982, in Glens Falls, to the proud parents of Pamela (Quesnel) D'Attilio and Darryl D'Attilio.

Joseph was a lifelong Ticonderoga resident. He was a graduate of St. Mary's Catholic School and Ticonderoga High School, Class of 2001.

He enjoyed fixing up his Mustang with good friend, Jeremy Scharr, and was a member of the Team Modified Car Club. He enjoyed being with friends, but most importantly being with his family.

Joseph's strength and courage never slowed down, even when told to take it easy or to stop, it only pushed him harder. Until Sunday, he couldn't fight anymore. When leaving us, he said, "Mommy, I love you and I just want to go to heaven." Even though Joseph is not here in body, his spirit shall live on forever in all of those hearts he touched. Joey never got to experience things that we often take for granted. Well now Joseph, you are running in heaven to gramma Libby, grandpa Frank and grandpa Rolland. You are finally at rest, Joseph. There will not be a single day that you are not in our thoughts. We love you Joey!

He was pre-deceased by his grandparents, Libby and Frank D'Attilio and Rolland Quesnel.

Survivors include his father, Darryl D'Attilio of Ticonderoga; his mother, Pamela D'Attilio and her fiancé, Ted Savage, of Ticonderoga; one brother, P.J. Kolysko of Ticonderoga; five sisters: Carrie Kolysko of Latham, Traci Jeter and her husband, Michael, of Ellenville, Danielle Austin and her husband, Joseph, of Hudson Falls, Michele D'Attilio and her companion, John Beeman, of Queensbury, and Chantelle Trotter and her husband, Quinn, of Phoenix, Ariz.; his maternal grandmother, Barbara Quesnel of Columbus, Ga.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, March 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga.

A funeral service to celebrate his life will follow at 7 p.m.Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Mr. Elliott A. Shaw, of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga, will officiate.

Donations in his memory may be made to Make A Wish Foundation, 950 New Loudon Road, Suite 280, Latham, NY 12110.

My baby brother-If GOD would have asked me to take your place- I would have. He didn't ask me because he wanted you-he wanted the special Joey that I loved so much. Joey, you are an inspiration, I am so proud to be your Sister. Rest baby boy, you can finally breathe now.

The simple way a flower grows...
the leaf, the bud, then the rose.

The easy way a friendship starts
a word, a smile a touch of hearts.

no Lovelier gift could life ever send
than a beautiful rose or a special friend..

I'm sorry for you loss. Joey Is gonna be missed for everything..from the smile he put on every ones face, to the sound of his voice,to the sound of his car.
All our love,
Christy,Jessica ,Kelsey

Joe-

We were very fortunate to meet you through Eve and Derrick. You were what people often refer to as a "true friend", especially to them. Hopefully the roads are endless where you are now, and the next time we hear a crack of thunder we'll know it's the happy roar of a Mustang exhaust. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always.
