Julia L. "Jane" Fleming

TICONDEROGA Julia L. "Jane" Fleming, 95, of Putts Pond Road, Chilson, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008, at the Heritage Commons Residential Health Care of Ticonderoga. Born in Ticonderoga, July 2, 1912, she was the daughter of the late George and M. Amelia (Thibault) Osier. Mrs. Fleming was a lifelong resident of Ticonderoga. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and was also an avid bowler. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, James Fleming. She was also predeceased by nine brothers and three sisters. Survivors include two sons, Grant Fleming and his wife, Carmine, of Randolph, Vt. and Gerald Fleming and his wife, Donna, of Ticonderoga; three daughters: Norma O'Hara and her husband, Lynn, of Ironville; Sandra Gunning and her husband, Tom, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., and Sharon O'Hara and her husband, Charles, of Ticonderoga; and one sister, Anna Woods of Ticonderoga. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home. The Rev. Mr. Elliott A. Shaw of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga, will officiate. The Rite of Committal will take place in the spring at the family plot of the Chilson Cemetery.
