WHITEHALL - Kristopher Lee Houghtby, 40, of Whitehall passed away suddenly on January 4, 2025, from natural causes.
Born in Glens Falls on December 25, 1984, he was the son of Patti and Stephen Brown. Kristopher was a lifelong resident of Whitehall and was employed by General Electric in Rutland, Vt. prior to being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
Kristopher was an avid outdoorsman and loved to be outside prior to his illness, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, boating, snowmobiling, and four wheeling. He also loved to go camping with his family and going to concerts and playing cards with his friends. He loved watching football with his son Spencer and looked forward to games every week during the season.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Julia Houghtby; two children, Spencer and Haley. His parents, Patti and Stephen Brown of Whitehall; grandfather, Ronald (Pa) Belden of Whitehall. His siblings, Thomas Moore and Shaina Moore both of Whitehall.
He is predeceased by his grandmother, Doris (Toots) Belden.
Per Kris's wishes there will be no services. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. His arrangements are under the care of the Jillson Funeral Home Inc., 46 Williams St., Whitehall, NY.
