LAKE LUZERNE - Beloved community member, William H. Eddy, 93, of Towner Rd passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026, doing what he loved – walking in the woods.
Born on August 19, 1932, in Stony Creek, he was the son of the late Henry and Maude (VanDeusen) Eddy. He was a graduate of Hadley Luzerne High School. He proudly served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force stationed in England.

Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force, Bill began an over 40-year career as a steam plant operator at International Paper Company in Corinth. He retired in 1996 and was a member of the mill's Quarter Century Club.
Bill was an avid outdoorsman enjoying: snowmobiling, fishing, hiking, biking, and hunting. In more recent years, he enjoyed walks in the woods and watching and feeding the wildlife. He enjoyed his morning coffee at Stewart's with his friends and lunch at the Lake Luzerne Senior Center. Time spent with his family was most important to him. He was always there to help others.
