Kyle Collins Obituary

Kyle David Collins

May 11, 1970 - March 1, 2024

QUEENSBURY - Kyle David Collins, 53, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 1, 2024 at his home.

Born on May 11, 1970 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Terrance Collins and the late Linda Bowley.

Kyle was a graduate of Lake George High School alongside the Class of 1988. In high school, he excelled in athletics, especially in soccer and track.

Following graduation, Kyle provided personal training services to the community as owner of Flex Appeal Fitness Center before moving on to his 23-year career with New York State Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer at both Fishkill Correctional Facility and Great Meadow Correctional Facility in Comstock. An avid fan of the NY Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers, Kyle also enjoyed fishing, golfing, baseball, body building and was a diehard Kiss and Metallica fan.

His greatest love was his children. He could be seen supporting all their athletics events, performing alongside his daughter in the Nutcracker as Drosselmeyer, faithfully supporting Down Syndrome Awareness and looking forward to the family trips to Maine.

Kyle was predeceased by his mother, Linda; his brother, Brett Aaron Collins; and his grandparents, Robert and Evelyn Collins.

In addition to his father, Terrance and his wife, Karen; he is survived by his wife, Melissa (Finnegan) Collins; his children: Skyler, Kameron and Kolton; his brothers: Jason McCormack (Madeline), Justin McCormack (Dung), and Jonathan McCormack (Molly Dunton); he is also survived by his grandmother, Beverly Rogge; his aunt, Cindy Straughn; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Family and friends may call from 4:00–7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Singleton Sullivan Potter Funeral Home, 407 Bay Road, Queensbury.
