Chestertown- Linda L. Moffat, 71, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with a long illness on November 7, 2024, at Glens Falls Hospital.
Linda was born February 26, 1953, in Troy, NY, to Pearl and Theodore (Ted) Moffat. She was a longtime resident of Chestertown, NY.
Linda was passionate about animals and loved going on nature walks with her dog, fishing, and going to the farmers market (especially for the fish fry!) She was also an avid reader.
Above all, Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her five children, Kristi (Jeremy Rice) Harig, Alicia (Chuck) Harklerode, Sean Stoddard, Bruce Stoddard, and Erick Moffat; her six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Linda will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her sarcastic sense of humor, her kind heart, and her unwavering love for her family. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends may call from 11:00 a.m., to 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Barton-McDermott Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Pine St. Chestertown, NY 12817. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Kimberly Townsend officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda's name to the American Cancer Society.

Sorry to hear of Linda's passing. We skied together at Sea World in 1975. She and another skier came to see me in the hospital when I was in traction.
