HEBRON - Robert J. Getty, 60, of County Route 31 passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at his home following a long battle with Parkinson's disease, with his family by his side.

Born on October 10, 1965, in Glens Falls, N.Y., he was the son of Ralph and Jean (Churchill) Getty.

Robert was a lifelong resident of Hebron and was a 1984 graduate of Washington Academy in Salem.

On August 22, 2015, he married Sheila (Burch) Clarkson. They shared 34 years together.

He operated Field and Stream Farm, a family dairy farm. He was a 43-year member of the Hebron Fire Company where he held many positions.

Robert will be remembered as being devoted to his family and the community. He shared his love of agriculture with his daughter, and his passion for hunting with his son. He took delight in building a massive garden with his loving wife every year.

He was pre-deceased by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila; his children, Cory (Samantha) Clarkson and Julie (Freddie) Wolff; three grandchildren that he adored, Sophie, Riley, and Jackson; a brother, David (Susan) Getty; a sister, Margaret Keyes (Elmer); and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 9, at the West Hebron Presbyterian Church, 3153 County Route 30, West Hebron.

Memorial donations may be made to the Hebron Volunteer Fire Company, 3165 County Route 30, Salem, NY 12865.
