Thomas Holl Obituary

Thomas Houston Holl

July 16, 1964 - February 10, 2025

Thomas Houston Holl, 60 years old, passed away at Albany Medical Center the morning of February 10, 2025, after suffering a stroke the previous evening.

Thomas was the son of the William Houston (deceased) and Phyllis Gardner Holl. He was born at the Glens Falls Hospital on July 16, 1964. He attended Burgoyne Avenue school in Hudson Falls, New York, until the family moved to Bonner Dr in Queensbury, New York, where they have resided for more than fifty years.

Tom graduated from Queensbury High School in 1983, with education and certification in welding, as well as in EPA and HVAC. Thomas played football for Queensbury and also several years with the GreenJackets. He was employed by Anderson Equipment Company in Albany, New York, Target Distribution Co., as a mechanic trainer at Wilton, New York, for 10 years. He also worked at the North Country Facility Maintenance of Glens Falls, New York at various times. He was a regional service manager for eight years at Vermeer Sales and Service in Castleton, New York.

Thomas was a bladder cancer survivor, but several surgeries he endured never slowed him down much.

Left to mourn his passing is his mother; his younger brother, Douglas L. (Heather); his niece, Kinsley; his nephew, Alexander; and several cousins. His elder brother William J., predeceased him.

Services will be at the convenience of the family with Mother Jean DeVaty, from the Church of the Messiah in Glens Falls, officiating.

Burial will take place at Pine View Cemetery, Queensbury.

Tom provided eye donation to Lions Eye Bank of the Northeast.
