Travis Lee Obituary

NISKAYUNA * Travis Michael Lee, 22, of Niskayuna, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, in Potsdam.

Born in Niskayuna on Nov. 1, 1984, he was the beloved son of Clifford and Bonnie Lee.

Travis attended Niskayuna High School, where he participated in several sports.

Travis loved the outdoors and outdoor activities, including mountain biking, hiking, camping, swimming and golfing.

He attended Hudson Valley Community College and the State University at Potsdam, where he was active in his fraternity, Phi Kappa Sigma, and was involved in organizing various fraternity functions.

In Niskayuna, he was a standout on the club soccer team.

His strongest passions were snowboarding and spending time on his grandparents' farm in Granville, where he developed a deep abiding love and respect for nature, learned from his grandfather and grandmother, the late Paul and Marguerite Lee.

Travis made strong friendships wherever he went, and used his sense of humor to put both friends and strangers at ease. He approached life with intensity and commitment.

He was a communicant of St. Helen's Roman Catholic Church in Niskayuna.

He is survived by his parents, a sister, Anya Lee; and a brother, Noah Lee, all of Niskayuna; a grandmother, Peggy Billow of Granville, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Calling hours are on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home, 1503 Union St., Schenectady.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Helen's Roman Catholic Church in Niskayuna at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

To The Lee Family,
I didn't know your son well, but am close to several of his best friends, and even closer to Noah and his best. I wish you strength, courage, and Love. In a time like this, I can say first hand, that it is with those qualities, in being together, and with fond memories that we make it through. If there was anything I knew of Travis it was his sense of humor. If we keep praying for him, and keep laughing at his jokes, he'll always be with us.

Dear Bonnie,Cliff,Anya and Noah,

I was so lucky to have known you all when I worked at the daycare center for the staff of Wildwood school. Travis and Noah were two of my favorite little boys. How cute when they were Batman and Robin for Halloween. I actually have a picture on my fridge of Travis/Batman and Me/Bunny.
I remember taking care of Anya,Travis and Noah for a weekend.
The shopping trip to Price Chopper was an eye opener. And when Travis took Noah around the block in the wagon and I could not find them... Oh and yes, we played music really loud and I let the kids dance on the coffee table.

I hope it is obvious that your family holds a place in my heart.
I want you to know that I will pray for you and that my love
is with you.
