Peggy Gartner Obituary
Peggy was born Aug. 28, 1938, in Siloam Springs, Ark., to Talbott Hopkins and Alma Lavelle (Owen) Tatum. Peggy was retired from the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and son-in-law, Randy James.
Survivors include her daughters, Pam Tolley Cox and Shirley Tolley James of Poteau; grandchildren, Randy and Amanda Cox, Katie Cox, Dalton and Austin James, Stormy James; great grandchildren, Jacy, Samuel, Blaine, Auri, and Zane; brother, John and Nancy Tatum of Norman; nephews, Mark Tatum, Robby and Cappi Tatum; numerous cousins; other family members and friends.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, at the First United Methodist Church in Poteau with the Revs. Jim Perkin and Charles Owen officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Heavener. Pallbearers will be Randy Cox, Austin James, Mark Tatum, Robby Tatum, Sean Teague and Garrison VanCuren. Honorary pallbearers will be Dalton James and Keith Moon.
The family will visit with relatives and friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
