Alma C. Atkisson

ALMA C. ATKISSON, OF LOWER POTTSGROVE Alma Crossland Atkisson laid down her body of 91 years at home on April 16, 2012. Born in Shaner, PA, Alma was a veteran of WWII, having attained the rank of Sergeant in the Army Air Force while serving stateside. After the war she attended the University of Oklahoma where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 1950. She was predeceased by two husbands, two brothers, a sister, and a son. Alma is survived by two sisters in Western, PA, Wilma (Bille) Crawford, and Kathleen (Kay) McMinn. She is also survived by three children and their spouses, Mark M. Atkisson, Jayme L. Perry and Kimberly A. Tromley. She leaves seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one on the way! She will be laid to rest with her husband of 46 years, Lt. Col, Robert M. Atkisson, USAF, at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate in her name to Tri-County Home Health and Hospice of Pottstown or your favorite charity.
