Barbara Renninger Obituary

BARBARA D. RENNINGER, 59, OF POTTSTOWN Barbara D. (Endy) Renninger, 59, of Pottstown, wife of Kenneth F. Renninger of 40 years on May 15, 2011, died Wednesday at ManorCare Pottstown. Born in Pottstown, she was a daughter of Peggy Marie (Gabel) Endy of Boyertown and the late Raymond Donald Endy. Barbara was a 1969 graduate of Boyertown High School. She worked at Mistee Lingerie, C.W. Kline and Boyertown Casket Company prior to having children. She went back to work after her second child was ten years old. She worked as a life skills aide at Colebrookdale Elementary and Jr. High East. She worked lastly at the Senior High School as a Special Education Para Professional, in which she earned a certification in. For a number of years she worked for the summer school for BCIU. She last finished working in the 2009-2010 school year. Barbara was very involved with her two children. She enjoyed taking her daughter to gymnastics, dance classes and helping with the red berrats, while her daughter was a member. She was also very proud to take her son to soccer and baseball practice and games for 14 years. She was a member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ in Boyertown. She was also a Sunday School teacher for 20 years at the church. Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are one daughter, Nicole M. (Renninger), wife of Godfrey Ott of Pottstown; one son, Justin S. Renninger of Pottstown; one grandson, Godfrey Trevor Ott; two brothers, James R. Endy, husband of Joanne of Bechtelsville, and Jeffrey S. Endy, husband of Kristen of Bechtelsville, and one sister, Bonnie L. Knauer, wife of David of New Berlinville. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, 35 West Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. on Monday morning at the church. Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, c/o Trish Hewitt, National Penn Bank, 1830 East High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464. Arrangements are by the Morrell Funeral Home Inc., (www.MorrellFuneralHome.com).

What a great person she was!!! She had a great sense of humor and her family was the world to her. She put up a hard fight!! We will truely miss her.Love & prayers go out to her.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Barb. I worked with Barb for many years at the high school. I loved her energy, spirit and sense of humor. I know she put up a valiant battle. She will be truly missed. My heart goes out to her entire family.
