Barry Nierhaus Obituary

Barry Lee Nierhaus, 73, of Pottstown, passed away on Saturday, July 28th at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He was the beloved husband of Deborah (Landis) Nierhaus with whom he shared 27 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, Barry was the son of the late Oliver and Lillian Nierhaus. He was a 1963 graduate of Emmaus High School. He served honorably in the US Army as a sharpshooter, and he played trumpet in the General’s Band. Barry worked at Limerick Power Plant. He attended First Church of the Brethren in Pottstown. He loved the Phillies, Eagles, and boxing. Barry was the youngest and last surviving of his six siblings. The Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, August 7th at 6 PM at First Church of the Brethren, 371 N York St, Pottstown, PA 19464. Visitation will take place from 5 until 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church at the above address, or to the GoFundMe Account. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg.
