I am so saddened by the passing of a Great Man that became a very dear friend to me. Mr. Ritter as I called Him was a Blessing to me in a time of need. I rented a building space from Him at 9 West Butler Avenue in Ambler. When He first took ownership of the building He came to me asking me if I intended on remaining as an occupant, and if so there were renovations that needed to be done. I was so appreciative to Him for allowing me to stay on and not charging me for the time of renovations. I explained that I was newly separated from my husband and was raising 2 small children and desperately needed my business to provide for them and myself. He was so understanding and told me that He would get my store front completed first so I could get back to operations. We remained friends for years and I looked forward to seeing Him monthly with the rent. He always had a question for me, that being" have You found Love yet?" The answer being no for 30 years, until I finally reached out to Him to let Him know Love had found me and I was getting married July 2017. I asked Him if You would attend my Wedding and the answer was, "I wouldn´t miss it for the world" and on July 7, 2017 there He was to witness it for Himself. He was so happy for me. He couldn´t stay for the reception because of a prior commitment, but He showed up for me. I will forever be grateful to this Great Man. So sorry I didn´t know of His passing until so many years later. I would have showed up for Him. Love You My Dear Friend to Eternity.

Dan was a great friend to me. I know he was loved by so so many. Dan always had a infectious smile and a positive outlook on life, a gift that so few have. Dan lived a full life and continues living in the memories of those who knew him. May God bless Dan's family always but especially during the holidays. We all miss you Dan. Nancy

Today is my late father's birthday & so in remembering dad I will also remember Dan. I pray for peace and comfort for all those who are missing the ones they loved so dearly. I believe that my dad, Ed and Dan are in a kinder place. They are home.

I was so saddened by the news of Dan leaving all of his family and friends.
Dan was a great friend to my father, Ed Gessner and after my dad passed, Dan became my friend.
Dan was such a unique person. He had such enthusiasm for life, his family meant everything to him and Dan had many close friendships.
Dan was so sympathetic to my sadness after loosing my dad and I felt so blessed to share memories about my dad with him.
Dan adored his wife, Anne and often referred to her as 'his rock' his strength and best friend.
Dan had many inspiring stories about his life and how he overcame the many obstacles he was faced with.
Anne,
I am so very heart broken for your loss.
I will always have a memory of a smile on Dan's face whenever he mentioned your name.
Kind thoughts and love to you,
Nancy
