Donna Cuthbert

Donna (Madaras) Cuthbert, 74, of North Coventry, PA departed this life on Thursday, September 14, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Lewis Cuthbert with whom she shared 39 years of marriage. Donna was born June 30, 1943 in Pottstown, PA. She was a daughter of the late Charles C. Madaras and Emma K. (Romich) Madaras. Donna was devoted to her family, which was her top priority and greatest sense of joy. She was a beloved matriarch, and role model. Donna was manager and co-owner of Madaras Fashion Centre, in Stowe, in a career that spanned more than 50 years. She accomplished her mission to make every employee and customer feel like family. As her career in fashion concluded, she devoted her talents and passion to public health and environmental issues, by establishing a non-profit (ACE) with her husband. Her tireless efforts were directed toward protecting the health and safety of residents of the Greater Pottstown Area from environmental and industrial threats and harms. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Amber Buchanan, wife of Mark Harvey, North Coventry, PA and Heather Helmers, wife of Duff, North Coventry, PA; four grandchildren, Justin Hepler, Kiersten Hepler, Taylor Helmers, and Sara Helmers; and two great-grandchildren, Kai and Leo. A viewing will take place on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 9-11 am at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A Life Celebration will follow at 11 am. Entombment will take place after the service at Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum.
