Edward Siedlarz Obituary

Edward A. Siedlarz, 85, of Royersford and formerly of Phoenixville, died on Sunday, April 10, 2011 in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. He was the husband of Alice (Bulvin) Siedlarz for almost 55 years.

Born in Shenandoah, he was a son of the late Casper and Anna Siedlarz.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1946.

Ed was a Pennsylvania State Police Trooper at the Belmont Barracks from 1949 to 1985. He then worked team security with the Philadelphia Eagles from 1985 to 2001.

He was member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Pioneer Lodge #37 in Conshohocken and the V.F.W. Post #1564 in Phoenixville.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by: three daughters, Suzanne, wife of Alex Gojkovich Jr., of North Coventry; Alyce-Jo, wife of John Cunningham Jr., of Upper Makefield; Karen, wife of John Grohoski III, of Exeter; seven grandchildren; Danielle, Alex III, John III, Patrick, Craig, Colin and Corinne.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass in St. Ann Catholic Chapel, 604 S. Main St., Phoenixville, on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 12 p.m.

Burial will be private.

Relatives and friends may call at the chapel on Thursday from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in the form of Mass Cards or contributions to the American Heart Association, One Penn Center at Suburban Station, 1617 JFK Blvd., Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103.

Arrangements are by the Devlin-Rosmos-Kepp Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Phoenixville.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. The members of our CopNET family would like to thank Edward A. Siedlarz for his dedication and service to the citizens of Pennsylvania. The passing of Trooper Edward A. Siedlarz will be broadcast to our 3051 members shortly and we would like to extend our sincere condolences to your family. His absence from our ranks will be deeply missed by the remaining members of Law Enforcement who were fortunate to have served with him during his police career.
