HELEN NAIRN, 82, FORMERLY OF UNION TWP. Helen (Salaneck) Nairn, 82, formerly of Union Twp., Berks Co., PA, passed away on February 12, 2013 in Berks Heim, Bern Twp., Berks Co. Born in Pottstown, PA, she was a daughter of the late Julia (Hodich) and John Salaneck Sr. She was the wife of Gordon A. Nairn, Douglassville, PA. She had been employed as a school bus driver for the Daniel Boone School District and also was the former co-owner of Blackwood Golf Course. She was a member of Temple United Methodist Church, North Coventry Twp., Chester Co., PA. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Gordon T., husband of Michelle Nairn of Warminster, PA, and M. John, husband of Joy Nairn of New Ringgold, PA. She is also survived by five brothers, William, husband of Nura Salaneck; Harry, husband of Patricia Salaneck; Peter, husband of Susan Salaneck; Edward Salaneck, and Theodore, husband of Jean Salaneck, all of Union Twp. There are also four grandchildren, Lachlan, Reita, Taylor and Tasha, and surviving are also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, John (Jack) Salaneck Jr. Funeral Services will be held at Temple United Methodist Church, Temple & Unionville Roads, North Coventry Twp., on Monday February 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Temple United Methodist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Temple United Methodist Church, 1390 Unionville Road, Pottstown, PA 19465. The Dengler Funeral Home, Inc., Birdsboro, PA is in charge of arrangements.
