James D. Jury, 78, of Pottstown, husband of Karin B. (Boettger) Jury, entered into Heaven and eternal salvation on Saturday, July 4 at his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Norristown he was the son of Eleanor (Rumford) Jury and Howard Jury. James was a proud U.S. Army veteran who honored and loved his country. While in the Army, he was a sharpshooter and served in the transportation department where he trained cadets at West Point Military Academy. He was awarded the Governor’s award of excellence upon his retirement. James had a lifelong passion for motorcycles and enjoyed shooting and camping. There were no strangers in his life, only friends he hadn’t met yet. His love for his family and serving the Lord always came first. James will be deeply missed at the Bible Believers Baptist Church where he was a member. He loved and was loved by his church family and neighbors. Surviving with his wife are children Karen Lee Levan, Douglas K. Jury, Tara L. Dad it´s almost been a year since you´ve been going you were missed terribly not a day goes by that I don´t think about you I wish I could talk to you or just want to see your face but I know you´re in heaven walking on the streets of gold with Jesus I know you´re with Kevin and Linda your children who passed away so young and you´re with Emmy your granddaughter who just passed away in October who we miss so much and I know you´re with your mom and your brothers and all your friends and family members that have passed before you. Dad you made me the person I am today you taught me how to be so generous and loving and kind and caring and never judging anybody to except all people you taught me how to be helpful and do things for others because you always put others before yourself and without things for us to have. I love you to infinity and beyond I can´t wait to see you again I count the days. You are the best father anyone could ever have asked for you have been such a blessing for me such a gift from God that he gave me you as my dad. I love you so much and miss you so much I think of you every day and can´t wait to see you thank you for being my dad

The most honorable old fashioned gentleman and Father, who respects all, offers a helping hand to strangers soon to become friends, all are welcome to sit and talk, tinker on the bikes or in the shed,or just sit a bit, reminiscing and talking about Gods plan. Salvation, leading toward our home with our Pastor and friends, each day toward our savior in paradise..Over the years countless names come to mind of those who have visited, and became part of our family. You are all remembered, and cherished. Our home, our safe place, is missing the one who is dearest to us all. Our grieving is bittersweet, knowing Dad is in glorious heaven taking care of his children Kevin and Linda, that he had to wait for so long to do.Dad is in heaven with his Mom, that he so dearly loved, his brothers, his friend Ed Brown, and so many others who are rejoicing. Never choosing to come back to earth, their earthly duties are done. Rest easy and await in heaven your family who counts each moment to join you in paradise,
