Nicholas Giampietro Obituary

Nicholas C. Giampietro, 79, husband of Patricia A. (Hritz) Giampietro of Phoenixville, PA, died on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in Bryn Mawr Hospital. Born on July 13, 1938 in his family home at the corner of High and Dayton Streets in Phoenixville, PA. He was son of the late Salvatore and Mary (Chuck) Giampietro. Nick was the proprietor of Giampietro’s Barber Shop in Phoenixville for many years and then worked for Philadelphia Suburban Water Company. He was a devoted husband, loving father and proud grandfather. He was a big supporter of his grandchildren at their school and sporting events. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed being outdoors. Surviving in addition to his wife of 57 years are: Daughter, Donna wife of Mark Fuga; Son, Thomas husband of Sandra Giampietro; Son, Stephen husband of Laurie Giampietro; Son, Nicholas F. Giampietro partner of Jose Elizalde. 8 Grandchildren: Stephanie Nicole (Fuga) wife of Thomas Barndt; the late Christopher Mark Fuga; Grace Katherine; Michael Anthony; Patrick Joseph; Nicholas George; Julia Frances; and Olivia Mary Giampietro. Nick is also survived by his sister, Mary wife of the late Stephen Kaba and is predeceased by his brother, Frank, husband of Mary Jane Giampietro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 2340 Kimberton Road, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA. A viewing will be held Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 am to 10:45 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the Christopher M. Fuga Memorial Foundation, 1014 Riverwalk Drive, Phoenixville, PA. Condolences may be given at www.GatchaFuneral.com
