Robert Stern Nester

Robert Stern Nester, 90, of Boyertown, formerly of Ringing Hill, husband of the late Janette T. (Neiman) Nester, passed away Friday at Chestnut Knoll Assisted Living in Boyertown.
Born in Ringing Hill, he was the son of the late Robert and Alice (Evans) Nester.
Robert was a World War II Army veteran who fought in five invasions though out the South Pacific where he received many ribbons with multiple Bronze Stars. He was a member of St. John Hill Church and the Gablesville Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed fishing in the Delaware Bay, Hunting in Huntington and was a former golfer.
Surviving is his son R. Jay Nester, husband of Gwen, of Boyertown, his daughters Karen Kozak, wife of Frank, of Lewes, Del. and Jan Baver, wife of Brian, of Boyertown. He is also survived by his brother, Stern Nester, of Pottstown, his sister, LeAnna Wagner, of Pottstown, and his grandchildren, Jamie and Chad Kozak, Taryne Carey and Jarett Baver, and great-grandchildren Addyson Hornak and Evan Carey.
A funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. John Hill Church, 620 Hill Church Road, Boyertown, with the Rev. Barry Moyer officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Boyertown.
Memorial donations may be made in Robert's name to St. John Hill Church, 620 Hill Church Road, Boyertown, PA 19512 for the upkeep of the church.
