RONALD B. ‘BIRD’ LEVAN, 75, OF POTTSTOWN Ronald B. “Bird” Levan, 75, husband of Mary Ann (Gnoza) Levan of Pottstown, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016 at his residence. Ronald and Mary Ann were married 56 years. Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Frank W. and Winifred Addie (Rotz) Levan. Ron was employed as a painter by Union Local 641. Surviving with his wife are sons, Anthony F. Levan Sr. and Ronald B. Levan Jr. and his wife Cynthia; daughters, Therese L., wife of Dean Stapleton, and Rhonda K., wife of Bobbie Shumaker; brothers, Leonard Levan and Dennis Levan; a half-brother, William F. Levan Jr.; grandchildren, Anthony, Kelli, Heather, Kierstin, Amanda, Kaylee, Ronald III, Kelsey and Angelle; great-grandchildren, Logan, Jasta, Brody, Wyatt, Joshua and Charlotte, and dear friend Debra Kassel. He was predeceased by a sister, Sharon “Doody” Hanna. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016 at the Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 E. High St., Pottstown. A viewing will be held Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown.
