A. Virginia Shea

ROCKAWAY BEACH - A. Virginia Shea died peacefully on February 15, 2013.

She was the beloved wife of the late William Shea Jr.

Loving mother of Virginia L. McKeon, the late William Shea III, Kathryn R. Cardinale and Kevin Shea. Beloved Marema of Ellen, Joseph, David, Suzanne, Cristine, Patrick, Scott, Nicholas, Marc, Karen, Tara, Matthew, Joseph and Debbie. Dearest Marema of Amanda, Mark, Ryan, Kiersten, Joell, Benjamin and Sydney.

Long time resident of Belle Harbor, NY. Past president, charter member and trip organizer1971-2008 of the Sea Breeze Golden Age Club of St. Francis DeSales. Founding member of the Trinity. Member of the Mother's Club of the NY Foundling Hospital. Volunteer at the Good as new thrift shop of St. Rose of Lima Church. Girl Scout Leader and Boy Scout Den Mother and flea market organizer for Troop 81.

Visitation for family and friends was held on Tuesday.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church Rockaway Beach, NY on Wednesday. Interment was in St. Charles Cemetery under the direction of Denis S. O'Connor, Inc.

Dear Aunt Dee Dee,
You were the finest woman I ever knew. You were my grandmother and I loved you more than words can say. I will miss your constant smile. Take care of my daddy, say hello to "Uncle Bully Boy," my mom, Katy, Mary Kim, Buddy and Grammy and Aunt Mimi. You were one of the best things in my life and I will love and miss you forever.
