Our family was blessed enough to meet Kay and Al Lefebvre in the early 1970's when we along with Paul and Val Brown started The Mid Hudson Rivermen Drum and Bugle Corps to help teach young people music and help keep them off the streets - winter and summer. Kay and Al added so much to the drum corps and stayed dedicated and involved long after Larry and I left to raise our two babies. Thank God we never lost touch and the Lefebvres shared their heart and wonderful nursery school with our granddaughter Kyla Grace and also hired our daughter, Larell as a teacher where they both flourished. Larell is still a pre-school teacher and Kyla is in her Junior year at Connecticut College thanks to the head start given to her by the Lefebvres. Aside from being generous in spirit and their time, Al is a brilliant man. Kay taught me what it was like to have an older sister. The Lefebvres gave to our community in so many ways touching hundreds or people and children with the love. We will miss Mr. Lefebvre forever. Thank you Al and Kay for sharing your lives with us. We know you are walking with God and perhaps telling Him a joke or two. We think God just might be a Boston Red Socks Fan. May God watch over your family left behind for now and bring them comfort through their intense faith. RiP
