CLINTON CORNERS - Anthony V. Chianese, 65, of Clinton Corners, NY, died Saturday, February 5, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY.

For many years, he along with his wife were the owners and operators of Active Beer & Soda on Main Street in Poughkeepsie. Anthony previously worked for the transit authority in Poughkeepsie, he also worked as driving teacher, he was a truck driver and a member oft the Teamster Local, he worked at his family restaurant; Mom's Restaurant in Poughkeepsie, and also worked as a jet mechanic for Pan Am.

Anthony was honored with being selected to the NY Amateur Trap Shooting Association Hall of Fame; he was a member of the Willowood Gun Club in Mahopac, NY, and an avid hunter.

He was a communicant of Good Shepherd Church in Rhinebeck and served in the United States Air Force.

Born on March 26, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of Mary Grace (Tesoriero) Chianese of Clinton Corners and the late Frank A. Chianese.

Anthony married Barbara Burgess on December 31, 1966 in Springfield, MA and she survives at home in Clinton Corners.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter; Michelle Beecher and her husband Michael of Clinton Corners, two sons; Frank Chianese and his fiance Amanda Brothers of Clinton Corners, and Anthony Cimorelli and his wife Lisa of Rhinebeck, NY, four grandchildren; Ashley, and Ryan Cimorelli, and Marc and Max Beecher, two brothers; Ralph Chianese of Clinton Corners, and John Chianese of Florida, a sister; Mary Grace Massarone of Clinton Corners, and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Church of the Good Shepherd, Rhinebeck, NY. Burial will be at Rhinebeck Cemetery, Rhinebeck.

Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM. Memorial donations may be made in Anthony's memory to the Leukemia Society of America, 6 Automation Lane, Albany, NY 12205.
