Arnold Knickerbocker Obituary

Arnold Knickerbocker, Sr.

Clinton Corners - Arnold Knickerbocker Sr. passed away Nov. 19th, 2017, at the Delray Medical Center, in Delray Beach, Florida. Arnold was born In Stanfordville, NY on Dec. 9th, 1938 to Arlington and Florence Knickerbocker. Upon graduating from Pine Plains High School in 1957, he served for 2 years with the United States Army.

On Aug. 26th, 1962 he married Barbara Heady in a ceremony at Immaculate Conception Church, after which, he worked as an electrician at IBEW Local 363 until his retirement. After retiring, Arnold split time between Florida and New York where he took up the game of golf and enjoyed playing with his son, brother and several friends.

Arnold is survived by his daughters Donna Marrone, Connie Barnwell and Dawn Knickerbocker; his son Arnold Knickerbocker Jr; brother Wayne Knickerbocker; sisters Carol Ruqus and Linda Howay; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Arnold was predeceased by his wife Barbara and his brother Gerald.

A Memorial Service will be held for family and friends on Dec 16th at the United Methodist Church, Rt 199 in Pine Plains at 11:00 AM. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, any memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

I am sorry to see that Arnold passed away. What a great guy with such a good sense of humor and such loyalty to his family and friends. Tom thought the world of him and we all shared a lot of history. My deepest condolences to Arnold''s family. Marilyn W. Mac Donald

Very sorry to learn of Arnold'd passing. We worked together for several years and were neighbors for a time. He was a mentor, co-worker and friend. Arnie was generous with his time and with his laughter. Rest in peace my friend.
