Daniel Maloney Obituary
Wappingers Falls - Daniel "Dan" Maloney, 63, a resident of Wappingers Falls, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021 peacefully at his home after a long fight with cancer.
Dan is survived by his wife, Ruth (Shaw); his son, Daniel; sister, Loretta; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Louise Maloney.
Dan was born in White Plains, NY. He served proudly in the United States Army and was a thirty-five year employee of the United States Postal Service. Dan was a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed fishing, running, landscaping and detailing his truck.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls.
Ruth and Daniel would like to thank all our family and friends, Dan's postal family and customers for their support and kindness throughout this horrible time. Though Dan fought as hard as he could, this was a fight he could not win.

Hi. This is Linda Maloney Ciell, Danny’s cousin. We haven’t seen each other in years, but the love we cousins have will always be strong. We will miss him. Saying prayers for you, Ruth, and your son. Linda and family.

We are so sad to hear about Danny's passing. He was our mailman for several years. He was such a nice guy, so friendly and always took a few minutes to chat whenever we saw him. Our yellow lab would wait by the mailbox as soon as he saw the mailtruck coming down the street because he knew Danny had a treat for him.
We will miss him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Rest easy Danny.
