My Cousin David was a man who faced many challenges in his life. On the inside he battled everyday to survive in a life that made him happy. He was a man of many God given gifts. A musician who wanted perfection, a Gardener who took great pride in his work. A mechanic who could probably fix just about anything. The people that he touched along his journey, loved him unconditionally. My favorite memory of David was when he, is sister Doreen and my cousin Nicky flew out to Colorado after graduation. Our time together that year was priceless and I will hold it in my heart forever. In the end I believe he had made his peace and was able to grow both emotionally and spiritually. He was quite content. I know he is in the arms of both is earthly Father and our heavenly Father. He will be missed. You are at peace now Dave, rest and know you were loved.
To my Cousins and my Aunt, my sincere condolences in the loss of your brother and son. Life here on earth is short, but our true life is an endless life of love and peace in heaven. We will all be together again someday. So for now, just think of him as away. Love and Comfort for you all in this time of sadness.

David was a man of many talents his grandfather Martin Diesing was a man of many talents. He hunted, trapped, fished, raised chickens, grew a large garden and worked at IBM and they both died on November 7. We will miss David and I give my sympathies to all.

I was always awestruck by David’s creativity. From cars to music he never stopped creating and pushing the boundaries. One of my favorite memories of him, he built a car that had one HUGE headlight in the middle of the front, he cut off the top to it was open to the skies. We would race up and down the long driveway at the farmhouse in Highland singing and laugh at the top of our lungs. My nickname for the car was the “bat mobile”, popular TV show at the time. Another memory is the “jam session” in Gramma Diesing’s garage at a family reunion type of gathering. The older home did not have a 3-prong outlets (with a ground), plugging in a guitar meant you have to endure a bit of an electrical shock. David and Nicky would let me hang out with them if I was willing to plug in guitars. They were so fun and creative, a small shock was well worth the price. RIP David, heaven is in for a good time.

David was a talented little league player for Hamilton Oil in the Town of Poughkeepsie South. He was older but included me in neighborhood baseball games at Sheafe Rd. School, Mt. Alvernia field and Sheafe Rd. Park. A very good athlete who mass other players better. Sometimes his sisters would play. His uncle and cousin were on my minor league team Norge Cleaners.Dave and I were opponents in Little league when I was a New Hamburg Chief. Prayers did David and family.
