Donna Connolly Obituary
Staatsburg - Donna J. Connolly, 71, of Staatsburg, NY, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Born on January 8th, 1944, in Rhinebeck, NY, she was the daughter of the late Pascal and Dorothy (Griffing) Tremper. She was a graduate of Red Hook High School.
Donna married Dennis Connolly and he survives at home in Staatsburg.
For many years and until her retirement in 1993, Donna worked as a salary analyst and a personnel counselor with IBM in both Kingston & Poughkeepsie. She also was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club.
Donna was a member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in Hyde Park & served on the Board of Directors at the Children's Home in Poughkeepsie.
In her spare time, she loved to do crossword puzzles, golf, working in her garden, and was an animal lover.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her sister & brother-in-law; Sue & Bill Crane of Red Hook, NY, a brother; Lawrence "Skip" Tremper of Rhinebeck, NY, a nephew & his wife; James H. & Sonia F. Crane of Tivoli, NY, a niece & her husband; Jean M. & Mitchell Lampert of Wilton, CT, a nephew; Jeffrey Tremper of Red Hook, a niece & her husband; Kelly & Daniel Mangan of Underhill, VT, her grand nieces and nephews; Sam, & Chase Lampert, James, Robert, & Lauren Crane, and Alexandra & Patrick Mangan, her stepsons & spouses, Mark & Meg Connolly, and Kevin & Stacey Connolly all of New Windsor, and her step grandchildren; Aidan, & Liam Connolly, Kevin & Sean Gallaher, and Zachary Sion.
Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Wednesday, January 6th, 2016 from 4 to 8 pm.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, January 7th, 2016 at Burnett & White Funeral Homes, Red Hook, NY. The Rev. Wayne Olson will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hook.
Memorial donations may be made in Donna's memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
Arrangements are under the direction of Burnett & White Funeral Homes 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY.
