Gail Keenan Obituary

Gail E. Keenan

Wappingers Falls - Gail E. Keenan , 73, passed away July 2, 2017.

Gail was born November 10, 1943 in Beacon, NY. She was the daughter of Helen and John Frederick Branson.

Gail graduated Wappingers Central High School, Class of 1961. She was employed as a Postmaster Relief circulating through several of the US Post Offices in the area. Gail was a member of the Chelsea Fire Department's Women's Auxiliary as well as a long time member and treasurer of the vestry at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Chelsea, New York.

She was preceded by her mother, Helen Hrynack; father, John Frederick Branson; and brother, John Frederick Branson Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Colin E. Keenan of Wappingers Falls; her sister, Jalene (Jimmy) Yeaple, Beacon; her three children, Sabrina (Jerry) Bailie, Poughkeepsie; John (Wendi) Keenan, Waxhaw, North Carolina; and Shawn (Jenn) Keenan, Wappingers; and her grandchildren, Aislinn and Emma (Sabrina and Jerry) Bailie; Abbie, Noelle, and Isabella (John and Wendi) Keenan; and Walt, Sable and Sasha (Shawn and Jenn) Keenan.; as well as many, many nieces and nephews.

Gail enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed baking for birthdays and Christmas, gardening, music, traveling and was an avid Mets fan. She loved all her pets during her lifetime, especially her shitzu-poo Shelby, who survives at home. Gail was especially interested in pop culture and would never miss a red carpet or awards event. We know she thinks QVC + HSN is a match made in heaven.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church at 9 Liberty Street, Chelsea, NY on Saturday, July 8 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association for COPD research, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

One of the best Little League Mom's, ever! We had many a good time while sitting on the bleachers out at Robinson Lane. Gail always had a smile on her face and a laugh in her heart. Heaven has a new angel today.
