James Batterson Obituary
Batterson
AMENIA - James F. Batterson, 95, died February 2,2012 at Sharon Health Care Center. He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Coyle) Batterson.
James was born August 7, 1916 in New York City. He worked as a New York Times/News Delivery Driver until his retirement in 1980. He has resided in Amenia since 1986 and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Amenia.
He is survived by his son, Robert Batterson and his wife Angie, and his daughter Margaret Berlinghoff; his grandchildren Wesley Berlinghoff and Tina Murphy, Thomas and Kathy Berlinghoff, Pamela and Robert Casler, Jr., Timothy and Vivian Berlinghoff, Bonnie Batterson, Scott and Virginia Batterson and Kurt Batterson; 11 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great - Great Grandchildren. Besides his wife, he is pre-deceased by a Great - Grandson Thomas James Berlinghoff.
Calling Hours will be held Sunday, February 5 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Kenny Funeral Homes, 41 Main Street, Sharon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Monday, February 6 at Immaculate Conception Church in Amenia, NY. Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Amenia Fire Company, P.O. Box 166, Amenia, NY 12501.
