James "Jim"

Kohut

Dover Plains - James Joseph Kohut, 69 of Dover Plains, died on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born in Peekskill, NY on October 1, 1944, he was the son of the late Michael Kohut and Mary Kinzeski.

Jim served his country with the US Army from 1963 to 1965. Following his time of service to our country he went to the University of Pennsylvania and was certified in fire suppression systems. He is a member of Local 669. He was employed by S & S Fire Suppression Systems until his retirement in 1999.

He was a loving Father and Grandfather, in addition to his wife Theresa Graf Kohut, he is survived by his three daughters Monica Ann Pirrone Kohut of Dover Plains, Geralyn Marie Kohut Casey of Kerhonkson, and Kendra Leigh "Peanut" Kohut of Dover Plains; his grandsons James and Patrick Casey, and granddaughter Hope Leighann Kohut; also his brother Michael Kohut of Dover Plains.

Visitation will be Monday, December 9th from 4-8 pm at Allen Funeral Home, 3270 Franklin Ave., Millbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 am Tuesday, December 10th at St. Joseph's Church, North Ave., Millbrook.
