John Bodo Obituary
Englewood, FL - John (Jack) Bodo entered into rest on December 12, 2019 in Englewood, FL. He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY to Nickolas and Alice Hayes Bodo and was married to Karen Duffy Bodo in 1978.
Jack graduated from Roosevelt High School, Dutchess Community College and served in the U.S Army Reserves. He retired as a Lieutenant from the Town of Poughkeepsie Police Department, and served in the Civil Department for the Dutchess County Sheriff's Department. He also served as Fire Commissioner for the Arlington Fire Department.
In addition to his wife, Jack is survived by his son's; John (Tracey) Bodo, Hyde Park, NY; Jeff Bodo, Hyde Park, daughter Deena (Aaron) Bare, Raleigh, NC as well as two step-sons Todd and Trevor Cooke. He is also survived by his sister Patricia (David) Birsner and five grandchildren; Taylor and Emma Bodo, Elijah and Anna Bare and Jared Cooke.
Some souls leave behind a light that is never forgotten. Jack will be remembered by all who knew him for his sense of humor, wonderful smile and for his positive and caring nature.
As was his choice, cremation has taken place and there will be no services.
