John H. Pruitt, Jr.

Poughkeepsie - John H. Pruitt, Jr., 60 of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away on February 10, 2020 at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. He was born on June 15, 1960 in Mt. Vernon, NY, the son of John H. & Phyllis M. Camera Pruitt, Sr. He initially was employed as a Graphic Artist then worked as a farmhand in Millbrook, NY.

John enjoyed a love of fine food, gardening, fishing, camping, stamp collecting, love of horses, farming and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include a brother: George Pruitt of Poughkeepsie, NY; sisters: Linda M. (Ronald) O'Dell of Pleasant Valley, NY; Sandra (Tom) Surace of Chappaqua, NY; Karen (John) Mock of Augusta, Georgia; Felicia (Rick) Jastrzemski of Islamorada, Fla. and a goddaughter: Nicole. There are several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister: Mary Lou Pruitt.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 13, 2021 2-4PM at the Wm. G. Miller & Son FH, Inc., 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Services will be at 4 PM in the Funeral Home. So very sorry to hear of Joun's passing. We were together for a year in the 1980's. What a giving,talented and compassionate man he was!May he sleep with the angels!
