June Cassidy Obituary
Stormville - June Marie Parker Cassidy, 86, a resident of Stormville, NY since 1966, passed away peacefully at home on June 30, 2017. She was born in Carbondale, PA on May 30, 1931 daughter of Mary Leona Carden and Morgan Lynn Parker. They moved to Bayside, Long Island in 1936 where she resided till marrying William Patrick Cassidy on October 27, 1956 at St. Lukes Church. They had three sons; Peter Richard who married Mary Paladin, resides in Danville, PA, William Morgan who married Sue Worley, resides in Bloomington, IN and John Lee and his husband, Giovanni Proietti, residing in Hopewell Junction, NY.
She loved family, homemaking, gardening, traveling the world with her husband and researching genealogical history. She is survived by her three sons, and her sister Mary Leona (Lee) Mattson of Croton-on-Hudson, NY and five granddaughters; Alimara, Jenna, Nicole, Erica and Sarah.
She is predeceased by her husband William and her brother Morgan Lynn Parker.
A Mass of Christian burial to honor and celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2107 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James the Apostle Church, 14 Gleneida Avenue, Carmel, NY 10512. An entombment will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601

To the Family of June Cassidy,
I will always remember your mother as this tall, beautiful woman who was married to her handsome husband, Bill.
Every year I looked forward to her annual Christmas card from Stormville.
Back in 1996, I was so happy they made the trip to NJ to surprise my dad, Uncle Rick, for his 80th birthday party.
It was wonderful to see them and I cherish the memory of their visit and the entire day of celebration.
No matter what age they become, it is never easy to lose a parent. Despite their frailty, it is God's gift that we will remember them as the strong and vibrant parents who nurtured us with love.
It is the memory of your mom and your dad as that vibrant, beautiful couple that I will hold in my heart's memory forever.
