MILLBROOK, NY - Kathleen Ann Tarleton of Millbrook, NY passed away peacefully at home on November 18, 2011, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. The wife of John Tarleton, she was born on September 21, 1951 in Waterbury, CT the daughter of Nancy (Sullivan) Calo and the late John Calo, Sr. of Woodbury, CT.

Kathleen graduated from Woodbury (CT) Senior High School as well as the St. Mary's Hospital, School of Nursing in Waterbury, CT. She continued her education with a BSN at the State University of New York at New Paltz and a MBA at the University of Colorado. For the past twelve years she was employed by IBM in Fishkill, NY as an Occupational Health Nurse and most recently as a Health Benefits Consultant. Kathleen was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, friend and nurse who took great pleasure in spending time with friends and family as well as reading, quilting, running, baking, and traveling.

In addition to her husband John of forty years and her mother, Kathleen leaves behind her three daughters Molly Tarleton, Wallingford CT, Libby Tarleton, Riverhead NY, Emily Tarleton, Burlington VT, granddaughter Kallysta Fellows, mother Nancy Calo, and her ten siblings John Calo Jr., Joseph Calo and his wife Nancy, Deborah Calo-Rigazio and her husband Randy, Anne Calo, James Calo, Mary Beth Calo-Turner, Jeanne Witt and her husband Eric, Jeffrey Calo, Michael Calo and his wife Angela, and Jennifer Calo and her husband Chris Holness, her brother-in-law Barry Tarleton and sister-in-law Laurie Tarleton, as well as 23 nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a nephew, Joshua Calo Rigazio.

Family and friends are invited to gather at The Curtis House Inn, 506 Main St. South, Woodbury, CT 06798 on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 11:00am till 2:00pm to celebrate Kathleen's life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Kathleen's name to the Food Bank of CT (www.ctfoodbank.org) or Dutchess Outreach (www.dutchessoutreach.org). Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The O'Neill Funeral Home 742 Main St Oakville has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements. I can´t believe that Kathleen is gone for 13 years. She and I were roommates when we travel to London when we were working on our bachelors degree what a wonderful time that was I think of you often.
