Keith Peart Obituary
Poughkeepsie - Mr. Keith Edward Peart, age 72, a longtime resident of Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital, Poughkeepsie, after a short illness.
Keith was born in the Parish of St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, West Indies. He immigrated to the United States of America in 1979.
Keith was employed by Eden Park Nursing Home (now known as the Pines) retiring after more than 30 years of service. Keith is a gentle, kind and caring person who loves people, animals and birds. Upon his retirement from Eden Park, he was feted with three separate retirement parties. He was loved and cherished by staff and residents alike.
Keith is survived by 2 daughters, Colleen and Stacy Peart both of Florida; 2 grandchildren, Aniyah Peart and Shamaury Livingstone; 2 sisters, Dr. Pauline Peart-Blackwood (Bondie) of Florida and Mrs. Patricia Gentles-Myers (Felix) of Florida; brother, Mr. Winston Peart of Bronx, NY and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends including four longtime friends, Ms. Alicia Alicea, Mrs. Jennifer Frater, Mr. Roy Murray and Mr. Lloyd Smith.
Mr. Peart will have a Walk-through 9:00-10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Rhodes Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. at the Chapel. (FACE MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIRED). With all the time that has passed it still feels like yesterday or last week, missing you here with us sooo much if I could be granted a wish it´d be to have my uncles back here! I Love you forever my sweet loving uncle such a great and wonderful spirit taken from us.

I was sorry to read about Keith's passing. I remember him well, myself having worked at the former EPNH (now The Pines) from 1981-1986 first in the Dietary Dept. & later as the Health Related (Floors 5 & 6). He always had a calming & sunny disposition, to both the residents & staff alike. Therefore, it didn't surprise me to read that he had not one but THREE retirement parties! Unfortunately I was unable to attend today's events, but please know that you, his family are in my thoughts & prayers & have my deepest condolences. I think that Keith has received a special pair of Angel's wings. May he have eternal rest & peace in Heaven. Sincerely, Susan E. MacDonald
