I grew up with Mike and lived across the street on Clover Hill. We remained friends for life. I last saw him at Hooker Street in 2006 but kept in contact until present. I only found this after trying to reach him for weeks recently to no avail. Mike was a great friend and an all around great guy!
My condolences go out to the entire Risko family.

Mike (aka Johnny Hooker, a name he took from the Robert Redford character in the 1973 film 'The Sting') was the definition of an inspiration. Before I could have my own YouTube channel, he would post my videos onto his. And when I got my own YouTube channel, he was one of my biggest supporters. He and I shared interest in movies, music (even though we didn't always have the same taste), and just a general outlook on life. He will be missed by many. RIP to the worlds greatest uncle of all time, Johnny Hooker.
- Brody Risko, Mike's nephew.

Line Street Thanksgivings- late nights at the hooker street bar- I would bring my dates and my friends to your home after the gay clubs in Boston closed. You would always make them feel at home- between Dylan and the Doors you´d even let us squeeze in a Song from Blondie. When Wolfgang came to live with Sean , Kathy and I in the USA he liked you almost instantly. When I called him to tell him of your passing he was devastated- it´s funny through good times and bad how other human beings touch our lives- God´s Speed Mike. You will be missed..

You will always be the boss, and a Hooker Street Legend. Total gentleman, great memories of rock-n-roll, the Stones, and Dylan. You will always be forever young in our hearts.
